How to use this site

What this site does

Each title page compares prices for a Blu-ray or 4K UHD release across Zavvi, Amazon and HMV, broken out by edition — standard, or steelbook where one exists. The opening line on every title page (e.g. "Cheapest right now: £21.99 at Zavvi") is the fastest way to see the current best price without reading the table.

Reading the price table

• Historical low — a green badge means the price shown is the lowest we've recorded for that edition. Otherwise you'll see the actual recorded low next to the current price, so you can judge how good today's price is.
• Stock — whether the retailer had it listed as in stock the last time we checked.
• Checked — the date and time we last confirmed that price. Prices can move on the retailer's site before we catch up — always verify at checkout.
• Exclusive to [retailer] — some steelbooks and boutique editions are only ever sold through one retailer; we flag that on the edition itself.

Price-drop alerts

Enter your email on the homepage or any title page to be notified about that title (or the whole site, from the homepage). Alert-sending is still being built — for now, signing up reserves your spot so you're notified as soon as it's live.

Where the data comes from

Prices are currently checked and entered by hand rather than pulled from a live feed, so the catalog is smaller and updates less frequently than a fully automated tracker — see About for what's planned next.
