How to use this site

What this site does

Each title page compares prices for a Blu-ray or 4K UHD release across the UK retailers we track (see the retailers page), broken out by edition — standard, or steelbook where one exists. The opening line on every title page (e.g. "Cheapest right now: £21.99 at Arrow Video") is the fastest way to see the current best price without reading the table.

Reading the price table

• Historical low — a green badge means the price shown is the lowest we've recorded for that edition since we started tracking it. It only appears once an edition's price has actually changed; until then there is no low to compare against. After that, you'll see the recorded low next to the current price, so you can judge how good today's price is. The chart under each edition shows the full history.
• Stock — whether the retailer had it listed as in stock the last time we checked.
• Checked — the date and time we last confirmed that price. Prices can move on the retailer's site before we catch up — always verify at checkout.
• Exclusive to [retailer] — some steelbooks and limited editions are only ever sold through one retailer; we flag that on the edition itself.

Price-drop alerts

There are two separate sign-ups, and they don't overlap: the form on a title page only alerts you about that one title, while the form in the footer (on every page) is a general list for big deals and restocks across the whole site. Alert-sending is still being built — for now, signing up reserves your spot so you're notified as soon as it's live.

Where the data comes from

Prices come from the UK retailers we cover and are checked regularly. Each row shows when its price was last checked.

"Buy" buttons

"Buy" buttons take you straight to the retailer's own listing. No affiliate program is set up yet, so these aren't affiliate links today — see the terms & conditions for what that means if it changes. Either way, it will never change which price is shown as cheapest.
